Had a fun-filled long weekends cum numerous gatherings for Christmas. The week starts with some shopping for xmas prezzies for friends, colleagues and family. Wrapping presents was my daily "chores" almost every evening. I prepared most prezzies this year, hoping that I don't miss out anybody, even my family members (i dun give prezzies to all my family members in previous years) - just tot i wanna do that this year :)
My xmas celebration kicked off on Fri where my office had a Xmas party and gift exchange. All of us got the prezzies we wanted. I got my XXL Maybelline Mascara too! (with an extra pair of handmade swarovski earrings).:) We had turkey, ham, sausages, red wine etc for the late afternoon party and that was just my 1st session of the party that day. Later in the evening was CG xmas gathering, was an informal session (I tot) so din really prepare any P&W songs. Felt quite bad that I wasn't able to prepare for it although i wasn't feeling too well the days b4 (had throat inflammation), so we did an impromtu worship session. Wasn't fantastic but good enuff...:p God still loves me. :) I was not able to eat anymore food by then, although there were quite a spread of food. I just showed my appreciation to those who prepared those food by having a bit of everything...hee!
On the eve, was out with gh for lunch at Seah Street Deli, never been there before but was a nice place. we had our "romantic" xmas lunch there with some white wine. After that, went to catch Narnia. Nice movie!! I love the close blibical personification of the story and characters. If you watched the movie, you will have hated the younger bro for being so rebellious and trying to get the siblings into serious troubles, but as the story moved along, esp the part where the Lion (sorry, forgot all their names in the movie..heh) decided to give his life in exchange of the younger bro's, I realised that the little bro that i hated all along was actually a parallel of US! No matter how unholy and rebellious we are, Jesus (the Lion) came to die for all of us (me included). We simply do not deserve it but we had the forgiveness thru His blood. That's y it is called undeserved, unmerited grace/favor of God. When the witch died and bettle is finished, the Lion (Jesus) said "It is finished". He has conquered death and has crash satan (witch) under His feet. And at the end of the show, the little bro is crown as the King of Just. Just is also righteous. Despite our deeds, we are crown and made righteous by His blood. This is the new covenant. We dwell in this covenant and we are made forever just/righteous by Him. Isn't this just amazing? This is the God I have and worship. God is Love and Love has come down....:)
After the show, we went to J&J's place for xmas party and to watch "Blessed Christmas" - joint production of NCC and Mediacorp. Our singers and musicians are all glorious in this show, other than those "out of point" segments. Many shots of gh too..clapping, laughing...etc..hee..but he misses himself in there everytime.
Early early morning on Christmas day, I had to prepare to report at 730am at indoor stadium for sound checks. Svs started only at 1030am. The indoor stadium was filled by church members, our numbers had indeed grown..Praise Jesus! Had lunch at airport with Joey, WX, T&S, had coffee at starbucks (T2) after that and headed home. Concussed at 11 plus after that...poor gh, had been serving for 17 hours from indoor to Orchard. We met early at 1130am again today for gh's ex-cg gathering at east coast. We has dim sum buffet and we all had a great time. Went cycling with gh, J&J after that and went for dinner at AMK after our rest at gelare (east coast). Felt great to have excercise a bit after all those days of eating. I'm sure i'm gonna have a good nite's rest. That's my Christmas 2005! Looking back, many things had happened this year (mostly good). I can't remember what I prayed for last year when pastor asked each of us to have 3 wishes last year for the new year ( i only rem i did had 3 wishes when Angie mentioned while praying with the choir b4 svs starts on sunday). But I think mine came true.. mostof them, if I'm not wrong, one of them was to be attached to a man of God. :P God is faithful and true to His promises to us! Once again, that's my GOD!!
