Just a quick entry before i head for my choir pract later. The week so far has been pretty bz for me. This is unusual as usually end of the year is supposed to be the dull period for recruitment and I have to settled somethings b4 i go on leave next week. Yes! The long awaited Taiwan trip! Actually, not that long la cos time really just flies. Anyways, all is good and had a really great weekend. Had to work half day last Sat and got a pleasant surprise when my sis msn me, telling me a bouquet of flowers was sent to our place to me and sender has no name, only HP number. After some tallying, it's from dearie gh...i mean, who else right? heh..We went for dinner that evening at Beaulieu House in Sembawang Park. That's our first time there. Seriously, i'm touched by his effort to go find out such a nice place. Thanks dear! It's really a nice place, fantastic i should say. The atmoshphere and the architecture is nice. It's a pretty good place to hang out for couples, families and friends. It shall now be our hang- out- place occassionally. We have a great time taking pics, having our steamboat dinner on a drizzling evening. Early for a movie at Sun Plaza, we were chilling out at Coffee Beans and realised the xmas deco is up. We were just happy dwelling in the xmas mood. Ooh..did I say the dinner arrangement and flowers surprises were for celebrating our 6 months anniversary. How time flies right? hee....been a blessed 6 months..Really thank God for blessing our r/s and it shall be from glory to glory!
Ok! Time to go for choir pract! byeee! Taiwan trip countdown: 6 days....

Aftermath of BKK Trip
Back from bkk on sun and looking at my spoils, i concluded that i had really done some extensive shopping over there. In fact, I have not shopped so much before...and it's been a long time since i walked this much. All is worthwhile considering that I like most of wat i bought. I bought a whole lot of clothes and Naraya products. Friends, i carried all these Naraya products all the way back just for u! My mind was all about you guys when i was in that shop...thinking "hmm..this is too sweet for A, B may need this..think C will like this, dunno if D will like this.." haha...i feel like santress clause. Mum likes her Naraya bag..hee..little nick barged into my room when i was sleeping after my flight and took his prezzie..well, he's not rude la, he said "thank you e e" after that...i hope gh likes his prezzie too.
It was my first time taking the "tuk tuk" over there too although it wasn't the preferred choice of transport. We had to becos no cab drivers will take us to the place as they assume it's too nearby so we have to resort to tuk tuk. One advise, pls agreed with the driver on the price first before u board and insist the price is for all passengers and not just for one. This is to save you from some potential public argument and these drivers are no Mr Nice Guys. The ride was quite adventurous with those dangerous turns and u really need a good face wash after that cos of the pollution. You prob need to dig your nose too..heh...not in public of course.
Was all tired after the trip and was glad gh came to fetch me frm the airport and to lighten my loads. btw, I went with one luggage and came back with 1 more big haversack which i bought there for just S$8...haha...gh is now in Vietnam for his business trip and will be back tomorrow evening. Yes, it's Vietnam...please dun avoid us when he's back..haha..Well, he is dwelling under the wings of the Almighty and covered by the blood of Jesus + God's protection surrounds him, so no evil or harm or birdie flu shall go near him.
Well, taking the last half hour in office to blog and time's up! Time to go hm and patiently wait online for gh to come online too on msn..great technology and tools...i'm gonna teach him to use Skype one day...meanwhile, it's msn...God Bless and have a great week ahead!

Talk Of The Town
The lastest talk in office (the town) has been revolving around the BKK trip tomorrow onwards. Who to share cab with who to come office with our lugagges and where we should go on the day when we touch down all the way to Sun. An itenary is even drafted out by some of my colleagues and all of us went to change our SG dollars to Thai Baht during lunch just now. In total, we changed around $2K SG dollars in total. It's the first time to BKK for some and first plane ride for a couple. Excitement reigns in the office. As for me, this is my second trip there but my first trip wasn't counted since it's with a package tour and not much shopping is done which is a sin...keke..kidding.
My feeling for this trip somehow is pretty neutral all this while and I haven't even started a wee bit of packing or think of what clothes to bring over. Packing and unpacking has been one of the most undesirable things to do for me. Anyways, it's a short trip so i guess last min work should be fine. One of the place we will be heading to in BKK will be BedSupper Club where the sofas are all beds and looks pretty comfy. Of course we will also head to those day/night markets and according to my colleagues, a portable fan is advisable to bring. All of them bought one except me..just tot it may not be necessary and it may get in the way too. I'm going to enjoy and hopefully can relax during this trip despite those cruel but interesting shopping schedules suggested by my colleagues.
Side track, had a new colleague who joined us on Mon and he has been in recruitment line for some years so his networking skills is amazing. He is really the lobang king. I find him pretty easy person to work with and on his first 2 days here, i actually sorta suspect or had a knowing that he is a Christian based on some things he said, like he used the word "blessed trip" while on the phone and when sharing about how he deal with difficult pple, he said bless them. It reminds me of this verse "Bless those who curse you"..hee..so that's how I deduce. Today he came into office and started playing hillsongs on his laptop which is a further confirmation and he may just be a member of NCC. It actually triggers in me this happiness cos i realised how much I like to fellowship or be around believers cos it's just different. However, this don't mean that I don't like to be around non believers as I have many non believer friends but what I wanna emphasize is probably the atmosphere when you are around believers. You can say "Praise God!" without receiving blank looks blah blah..I'm blessed! I'm loved! I'm the Beloved! I'm the Healed! I'm favored! I'm righteous! These are what I'm before my Heavenly Father despite my actions.

Being Auntie Once Again
Yes, my sis's little rebecca has come on 9 Nov (Wed). *claps* The whole delivery process was quick and within 3 pushes, Rebecca is out. She must be pretty eager to see the world and her parents. She weighs 2.37Kg and has been a very good gal since she is out. My first experience carrying a newborn bb. Well, i'm auntie once again. For those who does not know, i already had a nephew and now a niece, boy, am I blessed!
My sis looks good after the delivery too, in fact, according to my bro-in-grace, she was sucking lollis and craking jokes with the doc while giving birth. At this point, I start to see how wondreful God has been. Both my sis and my bro-in-grace are Christians, this is yet another testimony of a supernatural childbirth. Not that I wanted to compare this with my eldest sis's (both this sis and my bro-in-law are not Christians) experience, but it's just different when you know you are God's Beloved and knows that He is in control of everything in your life.
My parents are overjoyed too but mum was worried about who is going to take care of my sis during confinement and felt it will be very tiring for her to travel all the way to sis's place to help her before and after work. So she starts complaining to me. Well, my bro-in-grace is prob borrow maid from his sis to help out instead and my sis will take care of the rest herself.
Being parents is not easy to start with. My sis sort of is starting to get a taste of that. She smsed me the next morning after her delivery asking me if she should do pure breast-feeding or could she mixed it with powered milk for newborn. She was complaining to me that the nurse gets her to breast feed it every 2 hours even thru ' out the nite. Seriously, how would I know? I think she needs some wisdom on who to ask. Kies, she will be discharging today and the Holy Spirit shall be her guide to the start of parenting.
Anyways, attended a crap seminar yesterday in the afternoon. It about how to achieve success in life. Speaker is some indian chap who actually said that when he goes to the hospital and see pple lying in bed with certain diseases, it must be a retribution and due to some sins they have committed in their life. It's cruel...The principles he gave for success is to work doubly hard and there is no shortcuts. Well, seriously, duh! Who in the world dunno that and need u to emphasize?! It's good that the seminar is free cos it's not worth a single cent to hear all these. In short, waste time!
Today's Theresa's going-away party in the evening. Actually forgotten there's Oasis meeting this evening, Opps! So far has only attended 1 Oasis meeting on its launch on 27 Aug 05. I need to be more aware of the dates they meet in future. To end, just wanna say my heavenly Father is soo good and I love becos He first loved me.

Good Old Days

This is taken from a 16 year old blogger's site and it looks awfully familiar cos I was like her, havin my own colouring sessions while teachers/lecturers were rumbling away with those hard- to- digest topics. My only challenge was to spot those "o"s to waste my ink on...and my sense of achievement comes with those coloured "o"s..heh. those good old days...tt's just one of my pastime during lessons.. I had many more..wahaha... i'm sure u had yours too.;)

Busyless
I know many envy me with so much free time at work these days to even blog. I just had enough of some aimless surfing online, so decided the next more meaningful thing to do would probably be to just drop by my own blog and trigger some brain activity to come up with something to write about, so if you think this blog is a total crap, just bear with it ya. heh..Well, as i'm typing this, a blinking msn tells me my dearie has just come online. He prob sensed my desperate boredom too! keke..
Well, but I really have to say that i have been blessed at work. Since year-end is usually a period with not much recruitment activities, I still somehow managed close some recruitment deals every week so that I will have something to please my boss with during those cruel weekly meetings. All Glory to God.. really. I know it. You will know it is if you were in my position. :) My boss just came out of his room after he poofed into his gym gear and went off to gym, meaning it's official slack time till 6pm.
My mind is all about the following now:
- " hmm, how much should I change to shop in BK next week?"
- " What should I buy le?...Oh, many many, need to list down -> then how much is enough le?"
- " What should I bring to wear over there? hot!, so maybe shorts. Oh no nice shorts, must buy!"
- " I hungry now le...stomach growling away again, so paiseh"
Ok, nothing constructive. To think that it's only going to happen nex week. I have just missed enjoying today huh. This entry is not that crap in the first half ya, so it acceptable. Oh, 30 mins more to race away from IP. :)

Happy Week
This past week has been easy since there are 2 ph on the same week and things has been slow at work. Wouldn't it be nice if normal working weeks are like that? Just a thought. Well, went Settlers Cafe with my dear, j&j, gl and tony on Mon after work till late. We played like 3 games till 12 plus and i kinda won 2 of it..heh heh..i'm pretty talented at playing huh..all glory to God. Went shopping with my parents @ bugis on Tue, been a while since i went out with them. I used to like tagging along with my parents ard, think i'm the only child who takes a liking in that. Wed was back to work again and went CP to shop for a white top with dear dear for MOH dinner function the next day. I seldom shop with him cos I think he will be bored while i slowly comb those shops, so i actually enjoyed this short shopping trip with him. :) Many more to come ya..keke. I enjoyed myself at the MOH function too, with good food and just having fun with the people there. The theme for the nite is Kampong Nite and for Zeta (dearie's team), they came out with the name Kampong Glam. Was amazed by the effort that they took to dress up for it. I had to put on the "apron" too. Hee! But all was good and we have a heaven of a time. :) Oh yes, and the goodie bag was pretty good too with 2 High 5 breads and 2 very nice mugs. Love those mugs! Fri nite was a celebration of gl's b'day. Lotsa food from gl's mum. Heard his aunt has a zi cha stall that is quite famous, gotta try it one of these days. He was high after downing 3 cups of Hennessy and a dare act (shouting SOMETHING from downstairs and making sure it can be heard at the 4th floor where we were). So funny! He seems satisfied with the gift too. Dearie has good taste at choosing the prezzie earlier. Oh..and the card 2! keke..Wild and wonderful evening. Sat is ktv session with dearie's friend and gf. He feels that we should meet up b4 our trip together to Taiwan since I haven't met them. His friend......is weird.....haha..i mean for someone in his late 20s. Well, since his gf seems to be quite amused by his every action, it starts to dawn on me why certain pple exists to complement another. heh! Looking fwd to the trip! After the ktv session is dinner and went to meet with my JC friends. After a walk down esplanade, it's time to balek kampong. By now, it has been a tiring week huh. It's simple Sunday with churh at 11am, lunch and home to rest. I happened to be on the same train as dearie when travelling to church..meant to be ya..keke. What a week! Finally going back to choir this coming Wed after 8 months. Looking fwd to serving again! Praise God for the ability to serve! I'm soo blessed, really.

Revived
I'm officially skiving now to just to write this. Btw, i just wanna say i'm still alive and well since my last entry in JAN 05. I have always thought of updating this blog for some time but has also been procastinating it for, well, almost a year. Does that make me the super procastinator? Hee! Maybe just some highlights of what has took place the past several months:
- Stepped down from choir in March cos wanting to pay more attention to my bro since it's his O levels this year. I did for a while but realised he don't really need me now so have decided to go back choir again next week onwards!
- Started attending CG in Woodlands. Ghim How invited me there and actually din feel comfortable for the first time but subsequently, i have treasured this CG and God has blessed me with precious friends like J&J and GL where I have constantly been hanging out with. :)
- Got attached in May to my dear dear Ghim How and has been blessed ever since ;) I actually realised that there are different versions of how we got to know each other from people ard. Our ex-CG leader tot we knew each other through CG and one of his usher friend actually commented we knew each other cos he was serving near where choir was sitted in the audi. Gh and me don't seem to care cos we dun bother to explain..heh.. Well, esther knows...keke.. After me, my best friend, ZL, got hitched recently too. She told me jokingly some time ago that she will have no time for me once she's attached, so guess now is fair and square huh..And of course another precious bro frm choir too. Happy for them and for myself. :D
Then it's work, rest and play, looping weekly in that order for the rest of the year till today. Was reading thru my previous entries and realised that I wrote in my last entry that this year shall be a year where I will be conscious of this verse - "Let not your heart be troubled, Neither let it be afraid". Looking back, there are really occasions where I was troubled by the way things are and as I let go, realising the insufficiency in my own ability and let God, He has made all things work together for good for me.
Right, God is good yea? Shall end here and end my skiving session as well. Will have more to write on since i'm going on some trips pretty soon! 2 more weeks to Bangkok with my colleagues! Bangkok= Excessive Shopping and Shopping.....and 1 month more to Taiwan!.... Woo Hoo!
