Genting Trip

First of all, Merry and Blessed Christmas to all!! Yeah! New car coming next week! New Sports Deluxe Toyota Vios!..Praise God for the stock and we don't have to wait till next year.
Went Genting with my parents and younger bro..was a super last min decision and I only had 15 mins to pack. haha..well, it's a good 2 days trip lah.

It's cold....up there manz...We arrived at 4 plus am on Tuesday and have to wait till 9 am to check in to hotel....long wait..We decided to go walk around and see see look look around. We wanted to go into the casino just to have a look but my dad was stopped cos he was wearing sandals..hee!...We did not do things that we should at Genting actually...din go to the theme park or the casino. Our rooms overlook the theme park and I felt that it's not worth the money to play those things that we saw from our rooms...haha..Praise Jesus for a strategic location of the rooms ya..keke..

We just went exploring around the place and have a relax trip. I kinda enjoyed it cos it's a good time spending with the family.

ok...office x'mas celebration gonna start soon!..Woo hoo!!

Sis's Wedding

Finally, sis's wedding on 17/12/04 is over!! My family and I was busy for the past 2 days hosting our relatives from Malaysia who came for the wedding at Chimes. We housed almost 20 of them, mostly children at home and I'm glad my home is bigger than normal flats to be able to have room for them to sleep, though some still have to settle for the floor or sofas. Personally, I think it's a very tiring experience and I din have much rest during those 2 days. I'm going to sleep my way thru' later since I'm still on leave tom..hee..;)

It really dawned on me that it's very inconvenient for all my Malaysian relatives to come over just for the wedding dinner and some have to make their way back that night itself after the dinner and that is another few hours of drive back. hmm...Can I not have a wedding dinner when it's my turn?..hee..Well, it's not going to bother me till it's my turn ya. ;p

My papa's car broke down half way back from the wedding dinner and it has to be towed back. Basically, the car is dead and my papa don't intend to spend money repair it since he is going to scrape it soon. Went to some car showrooms with my papa, mama, eldest sis, bro-in-law and baby nick. My mum had her eye on Toyota Vios and my dad kinda like Hyundai Matrix. I think most prob we will go for mum's choice though we had to wait for the shipment to arrive in late Feb which means no car till then. My dad wanted to get Matrix cos they had immediate stock for it and also the features in it..pretty cool. He even suggested to get me that just because he prefers it and wanna have the fun of juz be travelling in it, then he will buy himself another car. Though I really welcome the idea but I had to be realistic..I dun think I can afford to pay for things like rd tax, insurance...blah blah blah..with my school loan still outstanding. At least gotta pay my dad the loan first before I get my own car..looking forward to that!!

Went back church to serve today after my return from KL. I really miss the coporate annointing of the church and feels dry for the past 3 weeks...very dry.. Yeah! Simply loves to just worship Jesus again!! (together with the choir)

Christmas is nearing and still have not gotten any gifts for some friends and family..opps! Betta go shop for them in the next few days..

Meanwhile, black for Vios looks the best!

Back to SG - Home Sweet Home!

Yes!...Early return to SG for me. Just touched down on Changi Airport last night. Reached home at abt 1230am and after a series of unpacking, I finally finished getting all the stuffs in my luggages to where it should be and of course with new addtions to my warerobe family..hee! Finally I can have a good sleep after bathing, back in my beloved room!..

Shall be a short entry again..Blessed week ahead for all! ;)

Midvalley & KLCC

Yes, that're the 2 shopping complexes I combed for the past 2 days. For your information, Midvalley is bigger than suntec and KLCC is as big or just slightly smaller. It's really a shopping spree weekend for me and my colleague, Elaine. We basically decided to combined dinner and supper together on Saturday cos we concluded that eateries will open till later but the shops in the mall won't wait. ;p

This will be a short entry cos I'm going for lunch soon..hee! We also went to do our hair on Sun evening and the massage during the hair wash is what you can't get in SG. Had a great time and bought...hmm...moderate amount of things. =)

Port Dickson

Had a great weekend! After the Dell Walk-in event was done on Saturday afternoon, Mel (my colleague) and I prepared for our trip to Seremban where we will put up at Mel's friend's place for the night. After a 1.5 hr of train (KTM) journey, we finally made it to Seremban and waited for Mel's friend to pick us up at the train station.

Reached the place and saw 2 curious kids peeping at us..hee! They are (oops! cannot rem the friend's name, so I will call him "friend") friend's children, Joey and Joanne, age 4 and 2 respectively. They were initially very shy and just look at us from a distance. We started to play with them and found that they were wild manz! Had fun though. We got ourselves settled and went for dinner with the family. We had seafood at something shun restoran..hee! Nice crabs but they only managed to stay in me for 2 hours and cause my tummy ache. I rushed to the toilet after we went back from dinner and the rest is history..keke!

Went for midnight show and managed to catch Alexander the Great. In my opinion, not my kind of show, so no comments. I slept for the 2nd half of the show and Mel, the first half, so think we will share information about the show and have a complete picture of it. =p

Sunday morning breakfast with the family again, decided to try something new and order Lei Cha, some Hakka food and it's awful!! It managed to top my list of "Most undesired food at all times"..keke. I didnt finish it and felt a bit guilty cause I can see that friend's family don't waste food, but if I eat forcefully, I will vomit cos my stomach can't take what my mouth deems not fit.. ;p

Went Port Dickson and stayed there for a while till it rains heavily, went on to buy Seremban siew pao and bid farewell! Presented to the kids two sets of clothes as farewell gifts!
Train ride back was terrible. Squeezy, tired and sleepy....and delayed for 3 hrs!!...argh..

Tt's my weekend in KL....=)

In KL

It's 354pm on a Friday afternoon and I'm going to fall asleep soon. This is my 2nd day in KL office and I had been sleeping late every night. When I arrived at the KL airport, it's already about 9pm on Wednesday. My colleague and I haven't had our dinner yet. We only manage to drink cafe latte at Coffee Bean (Changi Airport Branch) and I was havng a slight headache already, so the latte is just churning in my stomach, making me feel like vomiting. I managed to burp and felt better before we board the plane. When we arrivd at KL, my colleague who has been there for quite a few times showed me how to get around in KL. We took a cab to our apartment at KL Plaza. Good location cos i'm just staying in the midst of the city, a good parallel will be Orchard Road. Downstairs at my apartment is actually a shopping centre with Planet Hollywood.

Slept at about 3 plus in the morning after having supper with another colleague who went earlier and my boss and watched Jackie Chan's Jing Cha Gu Shi. Couldn't sleep for the whole night cos the air-con was soo cold and the quilt cover is not providing me with much warmth. When I woke up in the morning, I realised my my colleague also couldn't sleep cos it was too cold and we dun bother to get up and check out where is the correct button to press on the remote as it was dark.

Day one in KL, it's payroll period, so my colleague was soo busy and was not in a very good mood too due to reasons which I shan't share here...hee! My colleague, Mel and I stayed with another colleague till pretty late due to loads of work to do for payroll, seems like she has to stayed overnight in office..poor thing..We helped her a bit before going off with my boss who hates to have his dinner in office for dinner at Planet Hollywood. This is after a slight dinner of pizza in office cos we are too hungry.

It's Planet Hollywood 5th aniversary in Malaysia so they had some performance there, very happening. Well, all the performers are "female"..if you know what I mean. In their sexy wear and dancing around..eeks..dun understand why some guys are still turned on. We had skol beer, some platter and brownie ice cream. Stayed there till about 12 plus am and it was about 2 when we slept and my colleague is still working hard in office.

Day 2 morning, my colleague came back to the apartment at about 8am in the morning from work and wanted to just bathe and go to work again with us at 9am. Accounting is never going to be my career in future!! I felt quite worn out by now and my KL colleague just told me I looked bit stoned during meeting this morning. I'm just plain tired!...Thru' Christ who strengthens me!- that's my msn nick for the day.

Back From Penang

Exams in NTU should have ended officially by now. Enjoy yourselves while you all can ya! Just came back from my Biz trip to Penang. Praise Jesus! This trip was a safe and pretty good trip. Took the Xiamen Airline..heard of it? Don't really have a very good experience taking the flight though. First thing when we step in the flight, realised our seat is right at the back and the cabin overhead where you can place your hand carry luggage are full already. Most pple on this flight are flying to Xiamen and are the older generation, so naturally, they are more Kiasu and rough. Sigh....My colleague and I are so glad we are getting off after 1 hour.

While we reached our hotel (Copthorne Orchid), realised it's a 4 star hotel. It's pretty ok and the view from our room is good..mountains on one side and also overlooking the sea. We had a crazy idea suddenly. In order to travel around Penang, we found out that the cab is for a short trip is very expensive and so we decided to rent a car for 2 days...and I drove!..haha..Cool! We approached the bell captain and he assisted us in renting our car..Thanks Kumar!!..hee! After a brief instruction of how to get to the city, we set off and reached Gurney Plaza. Oh yes, 1 thing about the traffic in Penang, pple there dun signal even if they wanna change lane or do a right turn. I'm still a good Singaporean who signalled..hee! Gurney Plaza is a pretty nice place, like any S'pore shopping center. Brought two pairs of shoes there. We had ice-cream wafer for lunch and after the shopping, we drove down to Island Plaza to check out the WIFI there as we heard that the whole building there is WIFI-ed..hee! There are a few coffee place there..starbucks, dome and coffee bean. Starbucks will be our place to work the next morning..set! After exploring there for a while, we realise opp Island Plaza, there are a few shops and also hawker food. We decided to go back to hotel and leave our shopping bags so we can drive back there again for our dinner. After resting a while back in hotel room, we came out again and drove back to the hawker near Island Plaza and there we settled our dinner. After that, we decided to walk around the area and explore around. After a while, we decided to try Penang Cha Koey Teow. It's drier than S'pore, hmm..I would still prefer S'pore's version..hee! That's day 1 in Penang.

Day 2 in Penang, we set off for breakfast in hotel itself and drove to Island Plaza Starbucks to start our day "at work". We lazily started...after a while, realised the network there sucks!..keeps on connecting and disconnecting. Mt colleague's notebook crash and have to wait for more than half an hour before she can start again. In summary, we din get to work much and it's lunch time..keke..We decided to drive around to look for food. This time, my colleague requested to drive, so she took over from there and set off to georgetown just for lunch..I can almost hear KC saying "Siao! Go so far just for lunch!"..haha..and as we dun really know the road and was driving for almost 1 hr...hungry and warm!...We ate cai fan at some small shop and that's lunch...and i can't finish cos I dun like the food..We are lost!..Dunno how we can get back to Island Plaza. I approached someone on the street and asked and he offered to let us tail him since he is going back to city to send the rest of his goods and he brought us back to Island Plaza! Praise God for the favour and asking the right person! We are back in Starbucks and since it's hot, we decided to sit inside with the air condition. The heat is killing!..I was having a headache after the trip to georgetown and had to popped in pandadols.. Both my cooleague and I has no mood to work at all, so we just clear some emails and do the necessary stuff and declare off...keke..We are so dazed after that and just sat in Starbuck stoning away..It's evening time and we decided to head back to hotel. We had our dinner in hotel since i'm lazy to go out again. We had steamboat buffet..and waited in our room for Randy, the car owner to call so we can return the car. Getting ready for Sat's morning event (the reason why we are in Penang).

Day 3 in Penang. Wore our EPS t-shirt and set off to Hotel Equatorial after breakfast in a cab which effectively is a proton car. This hotel is a pretty nice hotel. It's on the mountain and therefore the view is great and the place where we settled down to start our recruitment exercise is just in front of a nice jap restaurant..yummy!..My stomach started to growl at noon and with my fav food in front of me yet can't eat yet made me soo....argh...We din eat there evetually. We finished and left at about 330pm. Book a cab from hotel to Komtar which is another huge shopping center and settle our lunch there. My colleague decided to go for foot reflexology there and I went around shopping. Nothing much actually..the clothes..erm..quite ah lian..hee!..We met up with a KL colleague and his galfriend in Penang for dinner at a very nice place near the sea. We had seafood and I think that's the best meal I had that day and also for the whole trip...keke... We had a fun time trying out stuff and he drove us to the airport after that. Finally, I'm going back home!!..Missed my bed! My colleague and I slept the whole journey from Penang to Singapore. Reached Singapore at midnight and my parents and bro came to pick me up.

With that, I ended my trip to Penang! Home sweet home!

Happenings

Hi pple, been a long time last wrote something here ya. A few things happened during these few weeks. I tried to enter an entry earlier after writing a whole lot of things but comp just started to hang while I tried to post it...Argh...

Well, I guess i'll juz have to repeat myself. The most significant thing that happened to me and my family was a theft case just last week. My unit got broken into last week and was quite scary just thinking back. It happened in the middle of the night while I was in deep sleep. However, there was blessings here and there in that situation. In short, my hp got stolen but the "kind" burglar returned my sim card to me, that's why I still have all your numbers. I've got favour with him or what?! Nobody was hurt (Praise God for divine protection!!!), just monetary loss. Wanna know the full story, gotta come talk to me ya. Time to catch up!..hee!

Then again, I will be flying off to Penang and KL for the next 1 month for work purposes. Therefore, I won't be around in Singapore. Dun miss me ya!!..keke..I know I will miss church though. Gotta bring over some msg cds. Sis's wedding is just 2 days after i'm back from my trip and I still haven't got anything to wear yet!!! Guess i'll prob have to get it in KL or have nothing to wear and seriously, "having nothing to wear" is NOT an option, so i'll just trust the Lord about it. =)

After the wedding will prob be Christmas soon...yay!..time to clear leave! Christmas has been my fav occasion somehow..not so much on the prezzies actually..but just the mood of it...white, jingles, silent night, wishes, magic...fantasies I know but it's the accumulation of the perception of Christmas since young..oh ya! and not to forget, the cartoons on Christmas morning..hee!..was my fav!

Found myself losing focus on the Word of God recently and has been phsically tired most of the time after work. Well, I'm still the righteousness of God in Christ! hee!...But am hungry for more revelations and things that will speak specially to me at this point in time, so I need the WORD.

Rite, that's all folks! Think many of you are prob in the midst of exams or finished exams. Brought back some memories in canteen A (my study corner). For those reading this entry in the midst of your exams, grace grace for your papers and go into the exam halls knowing that you have already got the victory ya! As for those who have already finiahed your exams, why are you sitting in front of the comp?! Go have FUN and party manz!!! Rest in the Lord and just enjoy yourself ya!

Revelation

Has been a busy week at work for me and foresee that it's gonna be busy again in the coming week. Yet, we should always honor the time in the Lord because ultimately, we draw strength from Him to move ahead in life.

Attended both Bible Study sessions on Thurs and Fri this week, reason being I'm usually serving on Thurs BS and got to know my sis was invited by Huimin, a choir mate to BS on Fri, so decided to accompany her for BS again. Being able to make it for BS on Fri was a miracle from God too. Although I knew my sis was going on Fri BS, I realised i can't go with her initially cos I had to meet up with a candidate for interview at 7pm and I would not be able to make it for church at 730pm. I told God that if He wants me to go, He has got to change the interview time for me cos i can't change it since i already postponed this interview once due to an overdub session for our church soon-to-release album. God is Good! The guy called late morning and said he is on his way to my office and asked if I can meet up with him earlier in the day. The feeling of knowing God hears me is really fantastic! Well, I know He always hears me though. =)

After BS on Fri, I know my Father wants me to be there not just for the reason of me accompanying my sis but also for my own refreshment in the Word. Although both msges for the 2 BS days are the same, yet I felt that I received even more during Fri BS. Thurs BS was good too but prob I was kinda tired, so din catch much. Pastor Prince preach from the Book of Revelation which is a Book that was quite foreign to me cos I always think that I still dun possess the wisdom to understand what is revealed in that Book and seems like a Book of Judgement. However, after the msg, it has brought forth light to me and lots of revelation. It is more like a Book of Love where it shows how Jesus has unsealed the bondages in our own personal earth and under His wings, we shall take refudge. Being redeemed from all that Adam has forfeited thru our kinsman redeemer on that Cross. With the last (seventh) seal having its parallel to the fall of the walls of Jericho. Can't wait for the next BS! =)

This week ended with such fulfilling msg. Yearning for more solid Food for me to mature in the Lord. I thank the Lord who has constantly showed me the Urim (light) and the Thumim (my completeness in Christ). Still dwelling in that joy.....;)

On MC

For the past few days, I was having a great battle in my gap down my throat with ulcers and soarness. My soar throat started on Sun morning but still I'm going to worship and thank God for a healed throat, so sung for 2 svses (for those who dun already know, I serve in my church choir). Have to surrender my fav Macs hashbrown that came with my Hotcakes set breakfast...but I blessed choir frenz with it..so it's good lah.

Monday came and my voice sounded like Anita Mui..haha..so I try to cut down my calls during work and had a quiet day at work...by then I had developed a big ulcer in my mouth...I thank Jesus that I'm healed. Right in me, I felt this prompting to rest a day..but I kinda tot it's not that serious that I had to take MC from work, so ignored it. Went to work the next day and it kinda grew worse, i had cracked lips, ulcers (on lip and tongue!) and discomfort on the left side of my throat. I still went to work on Wed..stubborn me ya..this time I had trouble swallowing and chewing food due to the ulcer on my tongue..wanted to see a doc during lunch but was closed, so went lunch alone.. feeling terrible. I had to give choir pract a miss..sob..

Finally saw a doc at night and was given a day's MC. Well, that explains y I had time to write this entry in the mid noon when everybody else are busy working..heh heh.. Felt better now though the ulcer on my tongue is still painful. Thank God for docs, but my trust is still in Jesus. I know I needed this day to rest and HE knew it too.

Good News!! A friend of mine gave birth to a baby boy last month, 20th Sept to be exact. I only knew it yesterday cos she drop me an sms. Actually, I lost her num together with my phone long ago but when she sms me, immediately I knew it was her!..keke..longing to see her and her cutie. This child shall be soo blessed! ;)

Bonjour!

Finally gotten myself settled to write my first entry after having this account kept domant for some time since I last sign up for it. As I'm writing, I realised I haven't told anybody abt this blog that I have. keke.. Just thought that I should at least have an entry so that when my frenz visit this pg, at least they have something to read.

Was hanging out with my sis and her grp of crazy frenz on Fri nite singing KTV. They r a bunch of fun loving pple and my sis happens to be one of the craziest if not the craziest person there..keke. Was quite tired after work actually so din really try to mingle that much and am not someone who opens up fast to new found frenz. Hee! But did have a great time singing my lao go songs. I have lost touch of those secular songs thru radio waves since i got in touch with christian music..more edifying i guess. Oh yes, wat a surprise to see NCC choir mate, huimin stepping into our ktv room and wat's even more amazing is that she is one of my sis's fren. Wat a small world ya.

I was awoken on Sat by the array of sunlight thru my window and first thought was I was late for work. After staring at the time in my hp, it finally came to a realisation that i dun have to work this sat. I hope i dun get much of this in future cos I want my rest! Cleaned up my room full of irritating particles settling on my table and stuff on it (dust). I was sneezing the whole time while cleaning up and clearing stuff on my table. Met up with Pamz for shopping before heading down to church for combined YAM and Campus meeting. Was very late due to late lunch at home..hee..grace grace there ya! "Fox" is a new brand of clothes added to my wardrobe and realised from Pamie that this brand is from Israel and they have a megastore there too. No wonder I have a liking for it..keke.

Had a great time at the combined meeting today and a very timely message for me. The message really ministered to me (and later on Pam told me it really ministered to her as well). God is really GOOD ya. One same message can juz touch the hearts of so many individuals in their very own ways. Keeping the faith and rem that our God is still faithful to his promise in our silent years. Shall share more on this and more in my next entry cos it's late now and I'm serving morning later on (it's 1 plus now!) Bon nuit!
